DEXTER GEORGE
Dexter George is a multidisciplinary creator, designer, artist and mentor in the fields of visual arts, live performance and commercial design.
Helping clients including Apple, BMW, Squarespace MTV and Formula1 develop their goals and communicate their message as well as create content for world class musicians Disclosure, Tame Impala, Spice Girls and Kylie Minogue.
His work has also featured for the Motionographer’s The Motion Design Awards as well as contributing to multiple featured works on It’s Nice that.
Known for balancing atmospheric 3D art with striking graphical elements. Dexter George adapts his style of design to new mediums, embracing change with driven visual experimentation.
His personal work often derives from the interests of his childhood; Godzilla, Power Rangers, martial arts, music videos and a ton of video games. He is also interested in how culture can explain our identity, and our search of understanding in origin.
As an active member of the community, Dexter George celebrates collaboration and a drive for idea development with a commitment to enriching his network.
He joined as a professional motion design mentor at Created Academy in 2019, bridging the gap for students studying design as they make their way into the professional industry. Helping them gain critical design thinking skills, sharing technical knowledge, guidance on best practices and sharing his own past experiences.
He has attended multiple industry events and conferences around the world and believes skills and knowledge shared, to be crucial to the development of the profession making a better space for all and supporting it’s growth.
